North Jersey

Jersey City

Jersey City

With Hudson County's Jersey City, you get beautiful views of New York City without having to deal with the NYC crowds. Over the past several years, Jersey City has transformed into a hotspot. New Jersey Monthly even named the city as a place that has one of the best downtowns. During the week you can get a deal on a 4 star Jersey City hotel at $185 or less, depending on the time of year. While you're there, check out:

  • Liberty State Park on Audrey Zapp Drive
  • Downtown
  • Waterfront 9/11 Memorial on Waterfront Walkway
  • Liberty Science Center on Jersey City Blvd.
  • The Colgate Clock which faces the Hudson River
  • Korai Kitchen on Summit Ave. for a unique dinner of Bangali food.
  • Royal Grill Halal on 44th St. and 6th Ave.

Vernon Township

Nestled up in the mountains of North Jersey near the Delaware Water Gap and about an hour drive from New York City is a town that's known for it's great winter skiing - Vernon Township, part of Sussex County. This North Jersey town is home to Mountain Creek and Crystal Springs Resort, and is just a short drive from several local wineries such as: Ventimiglia Vineyard, Demarest Hill Winery, and Applewood Winery. No Vernon Township trip is complete without visiting Mountain Creek. Depending on the time of year, Mountain Creek offers skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, and waterpark. What else is worth seeing?

  • The Stairway to Heaven - a hiker's dream located at Pochuck Mountain
  • The Daily Bean for a bite to eat, located on Rt. 515
  • Pacem in Terris Sculpture Garden located on Covered Bridge Rd. in Warwick, NY

Central Jersey

Princeton

Princeton

Home of Princeton University, the town of Princeton, which is filled with history, is truly one of New Jersey's gems. It was founded before the American Revolution and sources say it was first home to the Lenni Lenape Native Americans. In 2017, NBC New York named it the Best Small City in America and the best in Economic Health. One of our employees has stayed at the Hyatt Regency Princeton (located at Carnegie Center) and raved about it. If you want a hotel that's downtown, check out Nassau Inn at Palmar Square and the Peacock Inn on Bayard Lane. When you visit Princeton, plan to site see and eat. The architecture of Princeton University makes it worth the trip alone. Don't leave without checking out:

  • Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park on Mapleton Rd.
  • McCarter Theater Center on University Place.
  • The Bent Spoon Ice Cream Shop at Palmer Square

Red Bank

Located just up the street from our Middletown, New Jersey furniture store is the quaint little borough of Red Bank. In less than a mile, there's a ton of amazing restaurants and cute shops to visit. Spend the night with views of Navesink River at the Oyster Point or Molly Pitcher Hotels. While you're in town check out:

  • The Cheese Cave on Monmouth St. for $5 Fridays from 5 pm to 8 pm - enjoy a cheese sampling for just $5.
  • The Count Basie or Two River Theater for a show.
  • A classic boat ride on the Navesink, setting sail from Atlantic Highland Marina
  • Char Steakhouse on Broad St. for the best steak in the area and cocktails.
  • Antoinette Boulangerie on Monmouth St. for a sweet dessert.
  • Our store! Come visit our home furniture store located on Rt. 35 up the road in Middletown to get your furniture and decor shopping in.

South Jersey

Cape May

Cape May

In our opinion, spring is the best time to visit Cape May before the summer crowds arrive. The town has hundreds of Victorian homes that have been preserved over the years, making a drive through Cape May an interesting thing to do in the area if you are fond of in history and architecture. For accommodations, check out one of Cape May's charming Bed and Breakfast's. Once you're there, you can't miss:

  • The Cape May Lighthouse
  • A stroll through downtown.
  • A ghost tour.
  • Fudge from the Original Fudge Kitchen at Washington Street Mall.
  • A taste testing from one of Cape May's breweries.

Mt. Laurel

Mt. Laurel

When we think Mt. Laurel we think family fun because Mt. Laurel is home to New Jersey's indoor waterpark, CoCo Key West Water Resort. At this Burlington County destination enjoy:

  • Water slides
  • The lazy river
  • An indoor and outdoor spa.
  • An arcade.

CoCo is also home to the Hotel ML. While you're in the area, check out:

  • Garden State Discovery Museum in Cherry Hill
  • Paws Farm Nature Center in Mt. Laurel
  • Diggerland Construction Adventure Park in West Berlin
